When we lived in London, we made frequent trips to the local Middle-Eastern market to purchase their big, juicy Medjool dates. This chutney—in which the dates are slowly simmered with tomatoes, red peppers, apples, cumin, chili and whole coriander seeds—takes us right back to these trips.
We love this chutney with a wedge of aged Cheddar, simmered into a glaze for barbecued chicken, or tossed with roasted root vegetables.
