WE ARE SO JAM HAPPY TO ANNOUNCE...
Blake Hill wins THREE US Good Food Awards across THREE different Categories - an honor rarely seen in the history of these prestigious national food awards. Our 2022 US Good Food Award Winners are Basil Blueberry Botanical Shrub in the Elixir category, Roasted Garlic Savory Jam in the Pantry category, and Raspberry with Wild Bergamot in the Preserves category.
Co-Owner and Executive Chef Vicky Allard shared her excitement with the Jam Team “These awards are very meaningful to us as the winners are selected through rigorous taste testing as being some of the most delicious artisan products made in the US today in a sustainable and socially responsible way.” With over 2,000 entries from across the country, this year’s winners represent the forefront of American craft food, making products that are delicious, respectful of the environment, and connected to communities and cultural traditions.
Also remarkable about these latest awards is, just months ago, we became the first US producer to win two Golds, two Silvers and a Bronze at The World Marmalade Awards in England where thousands of marmalades are blind taste-tested to find the world’s very finest. Now with record-breaking wins at the US Good Food Awards to add to our prestigious jam making belt, we continue to demonstrate that this Vermont company is achieving what so often eludes other makers during a time of significant growth. Our ‘‘Artisan to Scale” approach exemplifies true artisan quality and integrity in everything we do, even though we now need to make many more jars today for our jam loving customers who cannot get enough of our sweet, savory and spicy delicacies.
Our artisan quality and integrity is highlighted through our "Seed to Jar" Initiative. Whenever possible, we document our preserve-making from the seeds being planted at our local farms, through growth, harvest, our cooking process, canning, labeling and onto shelves. We absolutely love our local farmers and our sweet, savory and spicy preserves show it! Follow our journey with beautiful heirloom tomatoes, abundant hot peppers, rhubarb, basil, berries and all the fresh organic produce to grace our kettles this year.
