Apple & Cheddar Grilled Cheese

The most classic grilled cheese with the most extraordinary ingredients!

Blake Hill Heirloom Apple with Maple Jam

sharp cheddar cheese (we used Cabot Shredded Sharp Cheddar)

bacon, cooked (we used North Country Smokehouse)

artisan bread

butter or mayonnaise

Instructions

Cook bacon on stovetop or in oven until desired crispness.

Spread butter or mayonnaise over one side of both your bread slices and heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.

Spread the jam on the opposite side of one slice of bread and lay the bread butter/mayo side down into the skillet.

Build your grilled cheese by adding the cheese, bacon, and more cheese. Then spread jam on the opposite side of your final slice of bread and top sandwich with the butter/mayo side up.

Cover and cook. After the underside is golden brown, carefully flip your sandwich.

Cook until the second side shows a golden color (you may gently press the sandwich down as it will help evenly brown).
