PB & J Cinnamon Rolls

These PB&J Cinnamon Rolls created by Green Mountain Peanut Butter are the perfect treat to get you in the Holiday spirit! The combination of our Holiday Jam mingled with their Vermont Maple Cinnamon Peanut Butter rolled in a sweet bread and topped with cream cheese frosting is a must try.

Serving Size: 12 Cinnamon Rolls

2 cups warm milk

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 tablespoon Green Mountain Vermont Maple Cinnamon Peanut Butter

1 packet (2 ½ teaspoons) active dry yeast

4 cups all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons salt

1 teaspoon baking powder

Filling: 1/2 cup Maple Cinnamon Peanut Butter & 1 cup Blake Hill Holiday Jam

Topping: 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

4 oz cream cheese, softened

2 tablespoons melted butter

2 tablespoons whole milk

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/4 cup Blake Hill Holiday Jam

Instructions

Rolls: In a bowl, combine the warm milk, melted butter, sugar and peanut butter; the temperature should be (100-110 F)

Sprinkle the yeast evenly over the warm mixture and let sit for 1 minute

Add the 4 cups of flour to the mixture and mix with a wooden spoon until combined

Cover the bowl with a towel and set it in a warm place to rise for 1 hour. After 1 hour, the dough should have nearly doubled in size.

Remove the towel, add 3⁄4 cup of flour, baking powder and salt

Knead the dough lightly, adding additional flour as necessary, until the dough does not stick to your hands or surface

Roll out into a large rectangle about 1/4-inch thick and trim ends

Spread peanut butter and then jam evenly onto the rolled dough. Cut dough into 12 even strips with a sharp knife or pizza cutter. Then roll each strip into a tight coil, but not so tight that the jam oozes out.

Place rolls into a greased baking dish. Cover with a towel for 30 minutes and let rise in a warm spot until doubled in size.

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F

Bake the rolls until puffed up and golden brown, about 30 to 35 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for 10 minutes.

Topping: While the cinnamon rolls are baking, in a medium-size mixing bowl, whisk together cream cheese, butter, whole milk, vanilla, and powdered sugar until smooth, then swirl in jam mixing until desired integration is reached

Spread topping on cinnamon rolls when cooled, serve and Enjoy!
