Orange Clafoutis Tart

Orange Clafoutis Tart

This unique spin on the classic French Clafoutis pie incorporates our quintessential Orange Marmalade which pairs perfectly with this rich, pancake-like custard. A simple, versatile dessert that is much more impressive than its easy construction might suggest.

1 pre-baked tart crust

3 large eggs

1 large egg yolk

1 cup whole milk

1/2 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup sugar

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 tsp sea salt

1 jar Blake Hill's Orange & Bourbon Marmalade

Instructions

Sift together flour, sugar and sea salt into medium bowl then continuously whisk in milk, cream and eggs until well combined, 2 - 3 minutes in total

3

Add Orange & Bourbon Marmalade into a bowl and remove around 12 orange rinds and set aside

4

Spread remaining marmalade across tart crust base, then gently spoon custard on top of the marmalade

5

Bake tart for 30 - 35 minutes until top of custard starts to set and gently place the orange rinds across top of tart

6

Continue baking tart until crust is golden brown, custard edge is set and middle still jiggles, 45 - 50 minutes in total

7

Cool custard to room temperature, then chill in fridge until sets, at least two hours. Serve and Enjoy!
