Blake Hill Caramelized Onion Savory Jam
Mixed Up Foods “Maple Bliss” Nut Butter (Maple Walnut Pecan Butter)
1 flatbread or naan
Olive oil, for brushing and drizzling
1 small apple, thinly sliced
4 oz brie or other soft cheese (we used Jasper Hill Farm’s Harbison)
Garnish: fresh arugula and honey or maple syrup
Instructions
1
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
2
Place the flatbread or naan on an oiled or parchment lined baking sheet.
3
Lightly brush the flatbread with olive oil to enhance flavor and prevent sticking.
4
Spread a layer of maple nut butter evenly over the flatbread, then add small dollops or “pockets” of Caramelized Onion Savory Jam on top. We used about ¼ of a cup each of the nut butter and jam, but feel free to measure with your heart.
5
Arrange the thin apple slices evenly over the flatbread then add small dots of cheese.
6
Bake in the preheated oven until the edges of the flatbread are browned and the cheese is melted, about 8-12 minutes, or until your desired doneness.
7
Remove from oven and let cool on a wire rack for 3-5 minutes. Drizzle with honey or maple syrup. Top with fresh arugula.
8
Slice, serve immediately and Enjoy!
